Fun games, but they need a 60fps patch, if not a full current gen upgrade (which they'll never get). If 30fps doesn't bother you, these are definitely fun.

Purchased Shadow of Mordor GOTY for $5 nearly a year ago. The gf didn't like how difficult it was coming from Assassin's Creed, God of War and Ratchet and Clank. It only has one difficulty.

Are they related to movies or completely different? I'll look up some reviews but as a LOTR fan, my recollection is thst there was no good game adaptations.

these games are non-canon sidestories.
the Return of the King PS2 games were great apparently. Also if you are a fan of the original novels, i suggest LotRO (Lord of the Rings Online) as it is f2p and still ongoing; the ingame storylines are great too.

Story was just okay, but gameplay was very solid and fun. Mordor feels a bit dated now, with War being a little smoother overall. The real star is the nemesis system though; it breeds such chaos sometimes so that alone is worth playing for. Paid full price for both when they came out and didn't regret it a bit, so $7 is a no brainer.

I just watched and I was hoping more advanture but it's like Assassin's Creed / Batman style fighting, with a few rpg elements added like option to go for side quests or continue story. Probably an amazing deal for someone who loves this type of games.
