I've had this iPad since close to release last year. Absolutely recommend... use it on a daily basis. I find the 11" size much more usable than the 13".

Worthy upgrade over a 10.5" Pro?

I was in the fence about getting an iPad Pro or a MacBook Air. Both relatively the same in price. My purpose with it is more for entertainment/productivity. Any gaming would be cloud based like Xbox game pass.

Screen wise the iPad Pro wins hands down.
But here's where it gets interesting. If you add the Magic Keyboard case for the iPad, you would be spending the same amount for a MacBook Pro 14" M4 base. Which currently goes for $1400 on amazon.

Your specs would double from 8GB to 16GB
256GB storage to 512GB storage.
MacBook pros XDR display is on par with iPad pros OLED.
I feel like Apple did this on purpose. lol

Next week Apple is going to announce the M4 MacBook Air. But I'm sure it will contain the same 60hz display that we've seen for years.

I upgraded to the 11" from the 10.5" Pro and while it was a pretty nice upgrade, I ended up exchanging it for the 13" a few days later and do not regret it at all.

What processor does that have? I skip multiple generations so not really up to date. I had the Air 2, Air 4, and then jumped to this one. When it came out (and probably even now) the M4 was/is considered overpowered for a tablet. It's is supposed to be pretty future proof and should be capable for a while.

M4 is like 10 years ahead of what tablet needs.

I know everyone's use cases are different but can you share what are some of the tasks that you do on this ipad daily?

Math stuff gets really hard to read in practical terms unless you have a good pen/tablet combo.

Was able to lower it to $764.10 with discounted Amazon gift cards (Cardbear is currently at 11% off). Sales tax sucks in CA

Yes because while 120hz adaptive display has become standard on other $1k+ laptops, it's a "Pro" feature according to Apple

Why is it so expensive. Is it not just a tablet or am I missing something?
oled and m4 chip, it is pretty much a laptop replacement if you want to pay another $300 for the magic keyboard.

Total waste of money, unless you're doing graphic design. The biggest problem is the gimped software. It desperately needs a desktop-class OS.

I picked up a used Galaxy Tab S7. Sure it's a little laggy, but it was $250 and it has an OLED screen. Perfect for movies, undemanding games, email and chatting, etc.

I honestly think Apple made this thing so good, that it had to neuter it somehow just so they wouldn't cannibalize their own sales.
