Measuring current usually requires breaking the circuit under test and placing the multimeter into the circuit at the location you want to measure. Clamp meters can measure current without modifying the circuit, as long as you can get the clamp around a lead that you want to measure. Many clamp meters read only AC current this way; this meter can measure both AC and DC current via the clamp.

I've had this model for a few years and it's been fine. I don't care for the inverted display, and the auto-off timeout is too short, but otherwise I can't complain.

Of course none of this stuff is scientific instruments so hopefully nobody demands 0.01mv accuracy.

KC604 is just half of the price with extra discount. Same features and good reviews. Wondering what makes Klein twice the price.
Are you looking to use on applications with single or tens/hundreds of milliampere or fractions of a milliamp or between .5 amps and 10 amps? Dozens? Hundreds of amps?
TLDR A low and high end current range would be helpful as well as the use case for making suggestions. And if you're an electrical engineer that wanted nothing answered but the exact question you asked…we can just pretend this exchange never occurred. 😜
