EDIT: As I look around at the various manufacturers, brightness seems to be a common complaint (usually a minor complaint) from buyers on most brands. Maybe for now, that 250 cd/m is about as good as it gets? Also, that spec might be on a 100% white screen and the whites get brighter as less of the screen is white).

Interestingly, I have the Dell 32" 6K monitor and am not happy with it. Trying to exchange it but Dell is slow as molasses in winter and might wind up returning it and getting something else.
One thing to remember with reburb at Newegg, if you are unlucky there might be a restocking/shipping fee.

For some evening HDR video editing and occassional gaming it can also get very bright.
a little hard to explain but I feel like brightness when it comes to LCD tech vs. OLED isn't quite an apples-to-apples experience. I know 250 nits on one = 250 nits on the other but the contrast on the OLED is just so, so much better.
I do worry about burn in a little but I keep my windows moving around some, shuffle background images, am no longer bothered by a hidden taskbar, and run the pixel refresh when it pops up and it's covered by warranty a couple more years.
all this to say - if you're interested in OLED, I wouldn't let the "low" brightness necessarily disuade you. you may be pleasantly surprised (maybe not! everyone has their preferences..

Just get a 4k mini led monitor that is 144-165hz instead if brightness is very important to you. Those can usually reach up to 600-800 nits in SDR and around 1000 nits or higher full screen in HDR.
Many non-gaming laptops are now coming with 120Hz screens so I must not be the only one.

I just need to see one of these 4K OLED's in person so I can go by something other than specs. Our local Best Buys don't seem to have them on display.
