The GV will initially show ok but then not go through.
People have been using $5 Visible lines ($25 - $20 referral code for first month).

Yes, it will show Verizon. You need phone number, account number, port-out PIN and ZIP. Text FOUR to 611611 and the four digits should match the last four of your phone IMEI/Account number (15-digit). The ZIP code is the one you entered when you activated the phone (for a new number, or you can check it by logging into your account on a browser). Text NTP when you're ready to buy iP13/port-out to get your 4-digit PIN.

Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can buy through Metro again? I bought a similar deal last fall (for the iPhone 12), then just didn't renew the monthly plan.

EDIT: I guess Metro doesn't have much of a time limit between when letting your account expire and placing new orders because I just placed an order for this ip13 and it's only been about 3-4 months since I let my previous metro plan expire. Also, I placed the order just minutes after creating a visible account and porting that new visible number over to metro.

$35 if you have an existing line and porting in a new line. $35 + $5 (visible line) = $40 in total.

I have been waiting online for half hour still cannot get through to the CS. I am shocked that so many new people jumping into this deal because a $50 change. The deal has been sitting there for like a month and they don't move. With $50 drops they are all in. Is $50 making such a big difference? Why not just order it earlier so you can get more phones which will make up that $50 loss.

Ordered 1. Thanks to all the comments in this thread, I signed up for Visible using a reddit referral, turned off autopay, requested port PIN, and ordered. Waiting for the shipping notification and then I'll be happy.
I got blocked on a straight talk and total wireless deal, so I'm a bit nervous since I ordered an iphone 12 from metro when the google nexus released.

I believe the metro autopay is off by default, but yes, once you get the phone you can log into your metro account and double check. The visible autopay you must make sure to turn off (assuming you are porting in a visible number.)

Was able to order 1. I used US Mobile's "light" plan to get a phone number to port out. They gave me some grief while trying to get the port out PIN but eventually relented after I threatened to file an FCC complaint. Don't be me, just do Visible instead Smilie
