Edit: For some reason though, every restaurant I try to use the promo at check out, it doesn't appear at all- this includes even when clicking on the promo itself on my page, and going to "shop now." (It just says "you don't have any promotions")
Yes I've noticed that especially with the jumbled characters promo codes. This seems more to a widespread audience though.

**Update** It looks like it's region specific because I can add it but it doesn't work on any restaurant I've tried, even the ones listed when I clicked on the promotion. Unfortunate.

And you really need this especially if you get Popeye's. They now say 4 piece chicken is $14.03 but when you click on it they charge extra for chicken preparation, like classic is $4.76 extra. These companies are so freakin corrupt.
