Unfortunately t mobile charges $30 extra on phones (apple sells ip16 for 800 and t mobile for 830.
T mobile also asked for $35 connection charge.
This extra $65 surcharge makes it less appealing ☹️

I think for him it worked out so should be good, but it cannot be replicated by any other person. For him just because he already had the apple GC bought works out well.
