Unfortunately t mobile charges $30 extra on phones (apple sells ip16 for 800 and t mobile for 830.
T mobile also asked for $35 connection charge.
This extra $65 surcharge makes it less appealing ☹️

Let's say you got a phone after July 2024 and want to trade in that phone. What's stopping you from just trading in the phone and continue to pay the EIP? Trade ins typically go to a third party company to be refurbished. Whether or not you have the phone anymore shouldn't make a big deal as long as you continue to pay your monthly EIP right?

Did you notice the $385 discount applied as bill credits over 24 months in the agreement? I didn't see it on mine, so I asked the rep, and he explained that the discount will be applied on the backend. I should receive it automatically once I ship the trade-in phone.
The phone was free on a promo for eligible lines and my free line was eligible so I took it. Haven't used it really it's just sitting as a backup.
