Haven't missed PS+ Essentials. If they sell it for $30/yr I'll go back, anything more and it makes sense just to buy used games for what you want.

If PC is so good, how come they haven't announced PC 2

Do the people who opt for PC over consoles not have friends? Like how do I play with my friends on a small pc?
Seems such a downgrade from my 75" and recliner seats.
Genuinely curious
Not sure about your technical knowledge or if you are really being serious.. You would each have a PC or a console and play with each other over an internet connection?

If you mean couch co-op, then you can still hook your console or PC to a large screen and play multi-player games on the couch..

I have Extra, renewed in December when they had a similar deal then.
Playstation Plus Extra
Spent $85 on $100 in gift cards on Costco.
Renewal was $101.24 (down from $134.99).
Total was $1.24, so technically paid $85 + $1.24 = $86.24.

The upgrade today for me is:
$13.31 due today. Payment applies to the remaining 298 days of your current plan. Next payment: $159.99 every 12 months.

Added benefits are:
Classics Gaming - Could gaming
Game Catalog* - Could gaming
Sony Pictures Catalog

I didn't know about the movie streaming service. Someone is curating a list of movies here:
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls52916...ing%2Cdesc

And it sounds like the quality is pretty good:
https://www.reddit.com/r/4kTV/com...reaming_i/

For $13 for the rest of the year? I think it's worth it to browse the catalog and watch some movies on my new TV.

Just as a bit of a PSA for those using the 'rewards' system of PlayStation Stars: Remember that starting next month you will no longer get points for buying/renewing a sub to PS+, so if you have to extend or buy a sub sometime soon, might not be a bad idea to do this deal (or just renew regardless) to make sure you still get some kind of benefit out of it. Personally, my sub will expire in April I think, so I'm stuck in that middle ground of wanting to renew, but hating that they never give deals to existing Premium members anymore.

If you're upgrading your current plan, you get the discount for the remainder of this period, and cannot extend using the discount.

Purchased premium several months ago, have only played 2 times. Use my gamepass every day. Not really worth it at this cost, unless all you have is PlayStation. Sony really needs to step up. I love the graphics better on PlayStation but it's just not fun to play for the price and what you get

Potential for what? Crappy PC ports? Lol
Cheaper games (and many more free), can still use a controller or mouse/keyboard. More customization, higher FPS options. No fee to play online on many games

I think this is the lowest the years-in-advance conversion to premium has been since the big price hike a few years ago. $147 for my remaining 3+ years.

EDIT: Wow fuggov gamestop and amazon for not letting me use all my store credit/gcs to buy PSN money

You can connect a pc to your 75" tv like i do (run a hdmi cable from my pc to the tv) and use my wireless xbox x controlle. Games look 10x better with true 4k max out setting and 120fps.
