This is my first pair of Hoka. I tend to get pain in my ankles and knees when I exercise, so I hope they help.
but if pain is cause but pronation or stability issues of the foot, Gaviota (on sale but not 15% off) might be better investment.
altra/hoka so called micro brands have been worth the premium. big brands dont seem to last as long.
adidas ultraboost dont last, the sole gets worn out mighty quick
my altra/hoka have lasted 400+ miles
with that said, adizero and prime (i might be blanking on the name) are comfy and ultra dad looking. if they were cheaper, i would give it a try.

Yesterday, I swung by a Hoka store and tried the newly released Bondi 9. I went with the wide version this time, and it felt much better—my feet had more room to move, and I liked the fit. I didn't get a chance to compare the narrow version of the Bondi 9, but I'm wondering if anyone has compared the Bondi 9 wide to the Bondi 8 wide.
I heard that the Bondi 9 wide is more cushioned, about 2mm higher, and has a more breathable upper compared to the Bondi 8. For those who have tried both, does the extra cushioning and height make a noticeable difference?

Also, with Hoka Bondi 8 the high stack seemed nice in the beginning but felt dead after about 50 miles. No spring action and the midsole just seemed to feel like a block of thermocole on the feet. Shoe midsoles should maintain the spring action of compressing and then decompressing to give the feet some push back. ZoomX feels great in that for a much longer time.
