The high protein has twice as much protein and a lot more vitamins and minerals at higher doses. Also more fiber too.
I occasionally get the high protein but prefer the basic edition drinks. Because the amount of protein and sweeteners is so high and different from standard drinks and meal bars; it's common for me to have bloating and discomfort with items like quest cookies or the snack treats from Atkins.
I typically stick with the standard Atkins shake drinks or occasionally Walmart brand. Only on sale do I get high protein drinks; I then don't drink those daily but every other day if necessary.
Ensure is also what hospitals seem to recommend for patients recovering from what I've seen. So it's probably more geared towards those people more so than just regular daily meal replacement needs.

FYI to anyone who might care the Café Mocha has 100mg of caffeine. I probably don't need more caffeine in my life but my coworkers and wife can suffer it
