James Hoffman has a good review of this. I'm no coffee snob, but I found his review helpful and interesting. I will be skipping this. Check it out again once gen 2 comes out.

I take Brevile in a heartbeat ! you do not buy an espresso machine for the look ! especially at $500... made in chaina , since when chaina knows how to drink coffee and know what an espresso is ??? imitation does not work in the kitchen.

This vs Lattego 4300?? I'm probably going to order now and think later. I'm dying to upgrade from my Vertuo.

It could be a year or two. They just released this one less than a year ago. Sure they won't make their sales first

Really unnecessary. At this point go with delonghi
Got this far around 400 during their November sale. Dialing is a simple one turn knob. The grinder is built in and does 18 g each time. convenience is worth a thought. It depends have valuable time and/or taste is to you.

Bought one, love it, been running it for two months now, no complaints, probably saved me over 1k in Starbucks orders since my wife and child are both daily orderers and they stopped cold turkey. Only thing I'd say is it dumps a lot of water in the waste bin, but really that's a nitpick.. if you're on the fence, send it!
If it makes you feel any better, most of the espresso machines dump a lot of water in the waste bin, or that was with my machines that are priced between $500-$1k.

I'm wondering how this machine will hold up in the long term. Can any owner chime in ?
This machine has only existed for less than a year so no one can give you long-term information, but as a current owner I really enjoy mine and haven't had any issues over the past 4 or 5 months

Had it for a month last year. Was fine at first but 3 weeks in it kept telling me to lower grind size until it went to lowest setting and still made bad shots. Presumably something was wrong with pressure. Returned. Given it was relatively new back then perhaps was just luck of the draw, as there are similar issues reported by others.

I have 1. Wish I would have waited! No one had it on sale around the Holidays.
Buy it now and return it on the old receipt.

Got this retail and got no regrets. Pretty close to idiot proof if you're new to espresso

same here, I also got 1 at BBY for $500. Wish I could have waited, but nice thing is that I used like 2 months, made around 200 cups.

If you drink lattes and cappuccinos, I've heard this is a pretty good machine. But if you're trying your hand at a good espresso shot I would look elsewhere.
