The camera can still be charged via USB even if the solar panel dies. I've had mine since Oct 2024 with no issues thus far.

Solar goes bad in 2 years making the cam useless. I suggest get external version where solar panels are independent.

I also had problems with the solar panel degrading. It was still usable though. My bigger problem was the camera lense got some kind of degradation to it. It looks as if it has simple water stains on the outside but no matter how hard you clean the lense it never improves. The video quality really suffered as images became too blurry. I switched to an S340 and it's been better quality, camera swivels, solar panel can be angled anywhere, etc. Just all in all a better camera. But yes, it costs more.

Had this in Florida, barely lasted 13 months. About 9 in the panel seemed like it was having issues and then after a really heavy rainstorm it just died. I think water got inside. Since it was over the year no warranty.

I second that! Mine started to act within close to 5 months and I contacted their customer service. They replaced it with another brand new unit which also had the similar problem within close to 5-6 months. I ended up getting an external solar system from Amazon. It's working fine now 🤷 ♂️
