It depends on the person. To me I have plenty of the original batteries but few of the new 2.5/5.0. I would love deals on the newer ones, but I consider the 3.0 xc the worst of all the batteries. It's not compact and not worth the size compared to 4.0 and 6.0. so to me this deal is very meh. The 3.0 have little value to me.

Just add them to your cart separately, return the 3.0's. You'll get a 5.0 for $60ish

To further clarify for anyone reading this, The last deal was promotion overlap in store only, not an intentional sale, no telling when/if that ever comes around again. This is a really solid price now though like cvp33 said.

That doesn't work, this is a "special buy of the day" and only on the already-combined sku on special today for $99.
These combo skus can't be "hacked" (broken up for return). Adding the separate items still comes up $129 (the current sale price for this quarter on 2x3.0XC + 1x5.0HO).

Nope lol, it was 3, and it was glorious for those who got it. It was about 3-4 days during HD's transition of sale periods where the old sales still applied but they had reps in stores already posting the new signage, so they add the new sales a couple days early to ensure they don't run afoul of advertising laws for someone seeing the new promo signage and getting charged more.

The breakdown was this:
New promo - buy XC3.0 2pk, get XC5.0HO free
Old promos - XC3.0 2pk alone for $79. XC5.0HO $99.
But both circumstances applied, so for about 3-4 days at the end of last month, we got the trio for $79. I bought some for myself, some for gifts, and some to sell.

He's correct it was around $85 for all 3 after tax .. I bought 2 of those deals and sold the 3.0s locally for $60 each set so was a win for me
