I ordered this the other day, waiting for it in the mail. Can't beat that price. It will be nice when changing my winter tires come spring time.
Well, this is overkill just for lug nuts, but it'll definitely zip them right off. Haha. I used a sub compact low-torque for about a year, and it did the job easily. I only upgraded because I needed something to get a crankshaft pulley bolt off.
I think I paid $250 for this two years ago, came with a 4.0Ah and a 4.0Ah Octane battery, and charger.
Level 3 is beast mode....I needed this to remove some shock bolts on the minivan that pneumatic impact tools couldn't budge. I thought my veins were gonna shake out of my skin (esp the one holding the box wrench on the other side) but the bolts backed out.
It's bigger and heavier than a mid-torque for sure, but this is the one you want for large, stubborn stuff like axle nuts, suspension bolts, crank pulley bolts, etc. Excellent for lug nuts also, but if that's all you ever plan to use it for I'd get a mid-torque.
It did come down to $159 after hacking one time couple of years ago (only 1 4AH battery though) and came down to about $100 tool only after hacking couple of times so I don't think it is TOTALLY out of realm of reality BUT one really has to pay attention and be quick.
