This is tempting, but I got burned by Elegoo on the Neptune 3, when they released the Neptune 3 Pro 6 months later and all firmware updates on the 3 stopped entirely. The Marlin and Klipper community never had an officially supported config (it's been a while since I checked) due to garbage documentation of the board they used.

Lots of people raised this issue on Reddit, Facebook etc, and Elegoo pretty much said too bad.

Hard for me to trust initial releases after that, especially when a lot of "reviews" thus far are from paid YouTubers.

Just my 2 cents.
This is not a resin printer; it's a FDM printer that uses rolls of filament. Here is a link that explains the differences. [formlabs.com]
I found you can use promo code SASE10 to take off another $10. Helps take the shipping cost down.

I normally wouldn't post a pre-order but I was anticipating the price to be closer to $500. I was going to wait on feedback prior to purchasing but at $300 based on the youtube videos with user experience, I'm going to pull the trigger to print along side my P1S. Shipping to me is $30.

I'm not sure I'm allowed to post Youtub videos, but if you search there are some detailed videos with some pros and cons (prior to the announced sale price).
Yeah, I'm kinda shocked. I figured it would be $500 for sure. I don't have the spare cash to have a second 3D printer running. I'll probably spend that money on more filament haha. But it's great to see more competition to hopefully keep the prices more affordable overall.

I don't either but still ordered because of the sticker shock to me lol. Well, shipping from the US warehouse isn't until May now so hopefully I won't have to worry about paying for it for a while laugh out loud.

I read that multicolor will be available later this year. Truthfully, I'm fine without it being that I have a few AMS units paired with my P1S.

Bambu is still way ahead of most, but I think this may give them a little kick in the pants. Maybe they will bring down some of their prices

The non-Carbon model is $199. Seems crazy for a self enclosed printer to be that cheap... Both seem very competitively priced.

Right? They need some more competition to help drive down prices and then I can feel bad for paying more once they lower them haha.

I'm not 100% sure. Right now it is pending on my credit card. I know they are definitely not supposed to charge the credit card until it ships and US Companies work that way. They aren't a US based company, so as of now, there is no way to know for sure. I will update you if the pending charge turns in to an actual one.

Paypal may be different though as even on some preorders I've seen those charges go through even before an item ships.

Wonder why you have to order the extruder separately.

None carbon also a good deal. Minus camera, a few panels and fans for 100 less.
If you never plan on printing carbon or higher temp filaments

The carbon has other differences like the ability to print carbon based filament and a couple other things, it shows at the bottom of the product page

I ordered one while watching the live stream... I am hopeful that I got in the first batch of US that are already ready to ship... will see.
You can get a $10 off coupon code signing up for the newsletter.
$300 + $30 shipping

They advised AMS this year and hinted at earlier vs later... so we will see.

Uh... Okay? I'm not comparing or asking how they are different. The comment was based entirely on the pricing these days being so much cheaper for a comparable product previously.
