This is tempting, but I got burned by Elegoo on the Neptune 3, when they released the Neptune 3 Pro 6 months later and all firmware updates on the 3 stopped entirely. The Marlin and Klipper community never had an officially supported config (it's been a while since I checked) due to garbage documentation of the board they used.

Lots of people raised this issue on Reddit, Facebook etc, and Elegoo pretty much said too bad.

Hard for me to trust initial releases after that, especially when a lot of "reviews" thus far are from paid YouTubers.

Just my 2 cents.

This is not a resin printer; it's a FDM printer that uses rolls of filament. Here is a link that explains the differences. [formlabs.com]

I found you can use promo code SASE10 to take off another $10. Helps take the shipping cost down.

Are Elegoo's printers any good? Would you get the Flashforge 5M or the regular Centauri? I'm a noob to 3d printing.

Nice. Almost got the flash forge deal, but I'm going with this as my first printer.

This vs Bambu? My friend's hot end just broke, so they don't sound problem free.

Do you need to buy or add the extruder for 19.99?
No that is a spare part that you can order. If I remember correctly they don't have different sizes of nozzles yet but when they do you can buy different sizes for different applications.

This comes ready to print out of the box.

Wonder why you have to order the extruder separately.
You don't. That's a spare part. It comes ready to print.

Bambu stuff really is great. That being said, until you see some REAL reviews from actual humans giving actual reviews... Who knows how good this will be.
Elegoo makes great resin stuff, and IMO their FDM is better than Creality shovelware. Which might not be the biggest complement ever.
If you buy this, you're gambling. I hope it's as good as it seems it could be, as Bambu is becoming a bit too comfortable on their perch.
I'll be honest, this thing seems too good to be true. For the price and features it's remarkable. Too much so. If it turns out to be a good unit, and reliable, Elegoo may have overturned the paradigm as hard as Bambu when they first showed up

As a Bambu A1 owner(upgraded from Ender-3 Pro), it's hard to beat at this price. Just pull the trigger.

This is a really good deal - the better deal is the Centauri for $199. If you plan to print with mostly PLA, there's no reason to need the enclosure and IMHO the camera is a gimmick. I own elegoo products in my print farm already and trust the brand. I'm seriously considering buying 12 of the Centauri to replace about 40 Ender 3s. EDIT: In for 6!

Im surprised how many people are willing to jump on this before any reviews come out. I'm interested too but I'll wait for now.

YouTube is awash with reviews of it.

This blows Ender 3 V3 series out of the water at that price.

Think this is cool ordered one. Last printer i had was a monoprice mini. What should i expect with this one?
A 100% different experience. Assuming you don't mean the mini delta, the standard mini is a "bed-slinger" which is out in the open, and the part moves back and forth during the print. This machine keeps the part relatively stationary, only lowering it away from the print head. This results in a more stable printing experience with faster speeds and lower failures. You'll have access to more materials, and even older materials like ABS or PETG will be easier to print with due to the enclosure limiting the variables of the environment. You'll also benefit from a lot of quality improvements in general from when the mini hit the market.
