This is tempting, but I got burned by Elegoo on the Neptune 3, when they released the Neptune 3 Pro 6 months later and all firmware updates on the 3 stopped entirely. The Marlin and Klipper community never had an officially supported config (it's been a while since I checked) due to garbage documentation of the board they used.

Lots of people raised this issue on Reddit, Facebook etc, and Elegoo pretty much said too bad.

Hard for me to trust initial releases after that, especially when a lot of "reviews" thus far are from paid YouTubers.

Just my 2 cents.

This is not a resin printer; it's a FDM printer that uses rolls of filament. Here is a link that explains the differences. [formlabs.com]

I found you can use promo code SASE10 to take off another $10. Helps take the shipping cost down.

I was expecting $450-$500 but I think I will pass for now. I've had far too many issues with Elegoo support lately that I can't be an early adopter for them. Just last week I ordered a 4 color bundle of PETG and they shipped 3 PETG and 1 PLA in the sealed bundle box. I contacted them within an hour of it being delivered and they told me I needed to have a video of opening the box and to scan each product and provide a long list of details. They keep telling me I'm SOL if I don't have everything they want lol. I mean if they are going to fight me on 1 roll out of 40+ I've ordered in the past 2 months then I don't need to deal with them. I've also heard issues with support for their printers stopping pretty quickly anytime they roll out a newer version from several different people and I don't need that headache. I'm glad this is so cheap and hopefully that drives further competition but I can't deal with the terrible support.

Well almost every bundle is sold out already. Wondering how much longer this will last at all.

I went ahead and pre-ordered just the printer... I'm wondering if the bundles come back in stock, if we can cancel a pre-order and place a new one. I really wanted to get the FBT bundle but obviously I waited too long.

Also, HEADS UP: This charges your credit card from overseas.

So if you use a card that charges a foreign transaction fee, you WILL get hit with the fee. Even if you use a card through PayPal. The PayPal cashback mastercard also charges a 3% foreign transaction fee.

Good thing I used my Capital One.

This vs Bambu? My friend's hot end just broke, so they don't sound problem free.
It looks like they ripped a bunch straight off a P1S. Elegoo support is terrible but they have good products at decent prices. The only reviews out currently are from youtubers that got sent the printer for free. I'd wait for some actual real reviews before jumping on it personally.

Crazy price for Core XY…ordered two

Ordered two? Why? Do you have a shop or would keep one as backup? 😏

The non-Carbon model is $199. Seems crazy for a self enclosed printer to be that cheap... Both seem very competitively priced.
What's the difference, I want to get into 3d printing for fun and for engineering courses

Any suggestion for a good 3D printer for us to get started. Nothing too fancy. I want to try first before splurging on a good printer.
Sorry, unfortunately I am not familiar with resin printers. From what little I do know, there are some serious considerations to be made around proper ventilation, storage, handling, and cleaning of the resin since it's typically pretty toxic.

Because of all this, I have largely ignored resin printing since I don't have the proper space to work with it. However, if fine resolution and detail is what's needed, resin is the way to go.

Anyone know if it supports full offline use and offline firmware updates?

How hard is it to cancel a pre-order and do they refund the full purchase amount + tax/shipping
i once had to cancel a non-pre order purchase (wanted to re-order under a bundled dead), had to email their support to get it canceled (which i emailed to [email protected]). their support is based out of china, so it'l be a day or two until you get a response, but they didn't give me any issue with canceling it (aside from an expect "please confirm" email request)
