This is tempting, but I got burned by Elegoo on the Neptune 3, when they released the Neptune 3 Pro 6 months later and all firmware updates on the 3 stopped entirely. The Marlin and Klipper community never had an officially supported config (it's been a while since I checked) due to garbage documentation of the board they used.

Lots of people raised this issue on Reddit, Facebook etc, and Elegoo pretty much said too bad.

Hard for me to trust initial releases after that, especially when a lot of "reviews" thus far are from paid YouTubers.

Just my 2 cents.

This is not a resin printer; it's a FDM printer that uses rolls of filament. Here is a link that explains the differences. [formlabs.com]

I found you can use promo code SASE10 to take off another $10. Helps take the shipping cost down.

Wish I saw those codes before hand. Oh well. Got the $350 bundle with 2kg of wood filled filament, anti vibration feet, and 3 extra build plates that look to have texture on them. Seems reasonable. Was looking to buy this based on reviews but would've waited for sale if it was $500. At this price it's a no brainer since I've been having issues with my 4 pro anyways.

A noob question - if I wanted to do some resin based 3d printing, is this a good one? I have zero experience in 3D printing and trying to get one for my wife's dental office.

found another code MK10OFF taking $10 off as well.
The $15 seems like not working for this item.

Any suggestion for a good 3D printer for us to get started. Nothing too fancy. I want to try first before splurging on a good printer.

Do you need to buy or add the extruder for 19.99?

The bundle came with an extra hot end but that's more for replacement purposes. The printer should come with the extruder already.

Uh... Okay? I'm not comparing or asking how they are different. The comment was based entirely on the pricing these days being so much cheaper for a comparable product previously.

Oh my bad. Thought you were wondering the difference.

One note on the regular Centauri ($199) is that it doesn't actually look enclosed. The picture is quite misleading but when you compare features it says "Shell: Open Frame" where the Carbon says "Enclosed". They ought to have a picture of the open frame product for honesty there. Carbon is still a great deal at $300 though.
