Does anyone know if this is cheaper in store? Or this an online only sale?

It's online only. Costco only carries the regular filters in store.

Great deal. These really do last longer than the regular filters and they filter better too. Here's the data sheet for all the slackjaws who want to claim it doesn't filter: https://www.brita.com/assets/4af0...bc4619.pdf
And for those who just want the answer, yes, it does filter forever chemicals (PFOA and PFOS) and microplastics, among many other things.

Those of you that use the elite filter, how long does it really last for you?

And how many people in your household are you filtering drinking water for?

Printed as "Replace filter every 120 gallons (about six months)"
Regular filters are 40 gallons or 2 months.

How often do these go on sale at Costco?

(Remodeling, running out of space can't store much right now)

Thanks

I am the only person using my elite filter in one of the large capacity brita tanks (the box shaped dispenser; bigger than the pitchers) which i leave in fridge* except to clean. My filter lasts me more than 6 mos, easily. I can taste the difference when water is unfiltered or when filter function diminished, as I have a family member who forgets to change their (Brita Elite) more often than not, so I have first-hand experience. I am travel a lot for work, so I don't know how many gallons I run through my filters, but I have tried not to push them past 8 mos even if I am not around to use it, unless I clean out the tank and leave it dry in fridge (sometimes I do this bc the dispenser has had gasket/leaking issues often. I do NOT recommend this dispenser from Brita). In short, I think they are good filters and last at least as long as they claim. They also filter lead, which the regular filters (and many other brands) do not.
*Never store water at room temp for more than a day or so bc even filtered water is still teeming with living ingredients +/or elements that produce living organisms, etc. Refrigeration significantly reduces the opportunity and rate of proliferation of these unwanted contaminants. If you want room temp water, filter it just before use.
