Well, if you're doing a multi-monitor setup, these screens are about 28" across. That means you're looking at a flat area of 84"...or 7' of screen width. With a 3 monitor curved setup those screens will surround your viewing area more and cut the screen space down by a few inches. For gaming, it's easier to see things with your peripheral vision on a curved screen than a flat surface area.

Again, just depends on what you're going for.

Is this better than the 32GN600 that LG has for 188 for a while? Casual gamer.

Differences in that monitor are flat vs curved, and it's 165Hz vs 180Hz. Depends on what kind of screen you want.

Got it. GN600 went for around 150. These differences are not worth the extra 50 unless someone really wants a curved one.

I have 3 of the 27" in this model, and I've been very happy with them for both work and gaming. Paid $156 each, so the $199 price for the 31.5" seems pretty good to me. In my 3-monitor setup, having the controls on the bottom or front was extremely important after hassling with the buttons on the back for a few years. Also, I much prefer the 1000r curve compared to the 1800r curve I had before.

Wish they had a KVM included, but when I bought I couldn't touch curved with KVM for less than $160.

Just an FYI this model does have an app that allows you to control settings from the screen. Might help with some stuff.

Not sure what you mean re: an app. I'll do some research. Thanks.

I bought three of these for a cheap simulator setup last time around and they hit way above their price range. Best Buy and LG direct both have the $100 off sale back in place, so $199 for 31.5" of curved screen goodness. These are VA panels, 2K, and work best with AMD video cards, but I'm running them on a RTX 3080 and Flight Simulator looks fantastic on them

i'm actually also doing a triple monitor sim rig at current though i want to do center curved and flat on each side, how is the ghosting/smearing on this VA? my samsung g7 is really good, but i didn't want to dump on a 500+ monitor for something that exists mainly for when i dont want to use VR

I think these monitors hit above their class. The higher 180Hz refresh helps with ghosting and any left have been perfectly acceptable to me (I'd imagine there would be 0 ghosting if you have an AMD video card and can use FreeSync with it). I mainly play racing and flight/space sims and am blown away at the performance for the price.

If you're doing three monitors, I DO recommend using separate monitor arms if you're doing desk mounting. My trusty Mount-It hydraulic 3 monitor arm mount couldn't quite handle 3 32" screens without sagging.

LG provides a small program you can run on your PC that will live in the tool tray. You can pop it open to control the settings on the monitor without having to use the monitor buttons.

Currently using 27" Curved, I still think it's a large monitor. Used 34" ultra wide before, it was too large for me.
