Lenovo does NOT cover hinges under warranty. I've had two Lenovo laptops that have had broken hinges UNDER WARRANTY that they absolutely REFUSED to honor. I'm not buying another Lenovo product ever again.

Do you have any proof of that, esp of this very model? Or are you just mumbling something you read off the internet to sound smart?
There have been no reports of hinges breaking on the recent Lenovo laptops, esp this one. That problem plagued mainly their cheaper ideapad and flex series from years ago.
Is there a difference between these and their 'yoga" model?

I own one such similar model with 360 flip design n Lenovo failed to help when right hinge broke n pushed display out n touch screen went off.

No need for me to be smart here, just shared my experience!! Its a free world for anyone to make their own choices.

Is the laptop fanless? Looks like the processor speed is close to that of Apple M3.

Seems like not fully supported in Linux.
Bummer. I was just looking for an arm laptop to run Linux. Do you know what exactly doesn't work?

I have SP11 snapdragon elite. When I run multithreaded python (heavy financial modeling) through WSL it is as fast as my M3 Pro. Which is as fast as my desktop i13900k). With battery like the MacBook.

Solid as a rock performance. I don't game, MS Office is way better on the W11 than apple.

I highly doubt it. You can see the vent holes in the photos. Also, I have never had a fanless IdeaPad.

Now, how often the fan might need to run (at an audible speed) may be another conversation. Can't comment on that. You may also be able to tweak the fan profile to lower the noise as well.

Ideapad S340 User here. I have had this machine for >6 years now, getting close to 7. I use the machine several hours a day and I have put the machine though real stress. Hinges are as good as they were were when I bought it. I subsequently bought multiple Lenovo machines for my entire family (Search SD for $200-$250 machines). So as of now I have 6 Lenovos between 4 family members. None of them have hinge (or any other) issues. I am very happy with Lenovos and I am a lifelong buyer. So, for those who still worry about breaking hinges, I don't think that is happening to any current Lenovos. At least not for last 6 years or so.

I'd splurge an extra $90 to get the $599 Asus Snapdragon laptop. The hardware specs are identical, but the screen is much better on the Asus. With the Asus you get a 3k screen vs 2k screen, 600 nits vs 400 nits, and 120hz vs 60hz.

Specs look good - if it can run all your apps.
I've got a couple of the snapdragon Surface's being tested in my environment. The only thing that has required any special changes have been print drivers, from what I've experienced they currently only support windows ipp drivers.

Can't you just use sandpaper, then some JB Weld to add a hinge yourself?

Why WiFi 7 support but not upgradable RAM?
Because it is using an SoC like your phone does and the RAM is on that board.
