Runs my home fridge for about 7hrs on a full charge. Then takes 1hr for my generator to recharge it.

A warning about this specific model. If you plan to use it as passthrough "UPS" for high voltage loads, it will kill the unit within 1-2 months. I've gone through 5 of these thinking they were faulty but it just can't handle that kind of periodic load. My specific use case was that I had it hooked up to a water ejector that draws about 1200 watts for ~15 seconds when in use. The water ejector activates maybe 6 times a day. I don't need that hooked up to a real UPS but if I ever lost power, it's very important to have so that water doesn't get backed up into the drains.

I've since switched to a different model EcoFlow and it's been running for 6 months so far without issue.

Hmm....just bought the ecoflow delta 3 premium 1500 from costco back in Dec for 6xx.xx. Does anyone know the real difference between these models other than the 1024 capacity on this one vs the 1500 capacity on the delta 3. I am still within my return window from costco, so debating if I should go with this one instead to save some money.

Just using it as a portable generator to power the microwave and lights for a travel trailer for 1-2 nights if I'm off grid

What generator do you have? Is it an inverter or 'dirty power' generator?

What model do you use for your sump pump? That's what I bought mine for but never used as a UPS yet.

It's not a sump pump but very similar to one. I am now using this model successfully.

Tell me more of the situation. I just order this hoping to use it for my sump pump in the basement which goes off once an hour if not more. I had bought it with the express idea of hooking it up to the pump and when power goes down, it auto kicks over. Are you telling me I'll destroy the unit doing that?

what model did you switch to?

The Delta 3 1500 is a bit between the Delta 2 (this one) and the Delta 3 Plus. Other than the battery size (battery technology itself is the same) but the Delta 3 1500 has improved cooling so the fans aren't as loud. The main complaint for some on these Delta 2 models is the fan noise. But if you aren't using it in a sensitive area or while sleeping it isn't an issue. They are good little work horses. If you have the D3 1500 I'd keep that one. Not to mention it gives better battery expandable options than the older Delta 2.

Usually when something is non returnable if it's withing 30 days you can talk to support and they might give you your money back and tell you to recycle the item. I tried returning creatine and some cans of rc oil. It's a Longshot for this price maybe but if you think you might return.

I actually like the design of Delta 2 more than Delta 3. The AC power plugs are behind in Delta 2, which makes the unit look good to have the power cords behind.
That was actually one of the things that I despised about the D2. The AC power switch is back there too, and it was ALWAYS awkward to reach behind to have to switch it on or plug stuff in.

The D3 Plus has a lot more going for it, including the fact that its 120mm fan is virtually always near-silent, under almost any load - not utterly obnoxious like the D2's 3x 60mm fans... which regularly spin up/down to very audible levels as soon as you get over charge or discharge rates above 300W or so.
Case in point: D3 Plus can handle 1600W (~1200W charge + 400W pass-through) at a quieter level than the D2's minimum fan speed which will start toggling off/on around 200W load. If you charge the D2 @ 1kW, its fans practically scream. If you've ever heard a rackmount server start up, you'll have an idea of what I'm talking about. Not suitable for use in an occupied room.

That said, both the D2 and D3 Plus are very capable units in terms of what they can power - virtually any 120V tool or appliance. Both handle the ~2600-2800W surge load from my Dyson Ball upright vac without issue.

Fan noise, for starters. See above. D3 premium still uses 3x 60mm fans, but it's much better than the D2 in terms of fan noise.

I bought it yesterday before I saw this with a coupon and such; got it for right at $400 including tax. My refrigerator runs about 7 hours as well. This will be my fourth unit as my daughter has a smaller fridge downstairs. What kind of generator? The power goes out a lot (east TN) and maybe I should consider a generator or solar. We have a great orientation that gets the sun almost all day. I think the power company should give us a discount or something! Last time it was out for 48 hours which was the largest outage but no way could my three generators power for that long. Frown

I would like to try; just added a fourth unit to cover two fridges, but the house orientation is great for sunlight most of the day!

Did Amazon accept your return or Ecoflow offer a refund? I never heard of this before. I have the delta 3 plus, but bought the delta 2 because of the superior cooling and delta 3 tend to overheat under heavy usage...my use case will be a sump/ejector pump too. 1/2HP little giant rated at 9.3A 120v

It is non-returnable because of Amazon's policy of lithium batteries. You can return it via EcoFlow. Batteries ship from EcoFlow as well, not Amazon
