$250 travel credit has to be spent through their terrible portal, which is just a Hopper re-skin and routes reservations through 3rd parties (my last was an Expedia reservation). Most costs for the portal are higher than if you have an account with 3rd party sites like Booking, Agoda, or Priceline and CapOne will NOT match a logged-in price. There is no telephone customer service for booking.
Pros: Eno vendor specific CC numbers with number cancellation and holds are great for online signups
2 points per dollar spent and direct reimb. for travel using points at 1pt=1c is essentially a 2% cash back card if you travel
No foreign tx fees (for those who travel internationally)
If you travel a little, it's a good card. If you travel more than 3-4 times a year, especially if your preferred airport has a CapOne lounge, the VentureX is a better product to have ($395AF), but this is a good stop gap with a solid bonus.

More than a year ago
Based on your credit report from one or more of the agencies on the back of this letter, there are
too many active credit cards based on your loan history
Will I qualify ?
Plus bank account
I fly 1-2x a year with no loyalty to airlines, do short trips 2-3 times a year, with one being to a non Hyatt resort, but also prefer AirBnB since have 3 young kids. CC spend is probably $10k/mo, so points can accumulate pretty quickly (thanks daycare!!!).
Any suggestions, if we should open such credit cards and cancel them before the end of year 1 to avoid the next year's fee.
Should we do that each year, Amex, CapitalOne, then Chase, then BOA and a few more one bank per year, and then back to the cycle starting with Amex after 5-6 years?
Any suggestions?
I am just not a fan of annual fee cards and will close after the first year.

X gives you yearly travel credit and 10k points, this one only gives you 1 time $250 travel credit and no 10k points

That is why, this card is good for 2 kinds:
1) Have travel related purchases (flight, rental car etc), reimbursement these purchases for $750 - this is easiest.
2) Transfer miles to partner airlines.
