I got 2 of these delivered last week from BB and can confirm that they are indeed EXOS

This is the first I've heard of these 24TB being anything other than Exos. Can you please post a picture of shucked drive?

I'm sure the whole SD community want to see the photo of your shucked drive!

I'm still crossing my fingers that it's an exo instead of barracuda.

Thanks SharpFruit552! Smilie

Can you please post a pic of the label on the bottom of the box as well with the DOM on it? Could be helpful in determining which ones have which drives inside.

Actually the Reddit thread on r/buildaPCsales has multiple users also reporting they ordered it and it's a Barracuda inside. What a shame.

DOM of 2/25. All of mine were 11/24 and 12/24. I just had to return one for exchange due to being DOA. I hope I get one of the older units then.

Where are you located? I'm in the western US. I've heard of 24TB BarraCudas appearing in countries outside of the US, but have not found any information on them on Seagate's US website. All reference to 24TB BarraCudas were from non-US stores and none had legitimate pictures of the drive and were all out of stock.

Interesting info posted in the last few messages.

Here are my details -

My order from 13th (delivered on 15th), has the following info -
Drive Box : P/N: 3JSAP4-570
External Drive Case: P/N: 3JSAP5-500 with mfg date of Dec-2024

Both my drives were EXOS as per Hard Disk Sentinel. Yet to take out the drive from it's case.
So, we will not be able to tell the drive by just looking at the outside box as it is same for Barracuda and Exos. Frown

SharpFruit552: Thanks for posting crystaldisk info and packaging sticker. When you do get a chance please post the photo of the actual shucked drive. I'm still crossing my fingers that it's an exo and not the dreaded barracuda. Otherwise I have to return my orders.

Thanks again Smilie
