This drive is back on sale. I'm looking to fill out a home built NAS.
I was looking at some drives and found this on sale again for $280. I'm debating whether to grab some.

Deal HistoryÂ
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
It's been this price on Amazon for the last few weeks. Not a bad price, guess it comes down to if you prefer Amazon or Best Buy if you need to call on the return policy.

FYI, the one listed on Amazon now is a third-party FBA one. There's no Amazon only option right now.

I've been watching this particular one across different platforms, it's been in and out of stock as Prime at that same price but you're correct it's not currently. Keep in mind that even though you won't get Prime 2-day shipping it's still covered by Amazon's return policy, which I'm personally fond of but I also don't have any Best Buy's in my area.
I bought this one last timer from bestbuy. After opening, it was noisy as floppy disk. After three days died. I missed the return by couple days. be aware

If the drive died after 3 days, contact Seagate. It has a 1 year manufacturer warranty.

My experience has not been good with the external Seagate hard drives 20TB or larger. Under 20TB Seagate drives seem to be fine. 20TB and over Seagate drives seem to be very loud, clicky, and unreliable.
Likely the same drive inside these externals but you got a 2 year warranty on this one for $250, compared to 1 year warranty on the external for $280. I'd say pretty much anyone in the market for this 24TB external would be better off buying the one from Newegg you just linked and put it in an enclosure, or a PC. Although you have the downside of having to deal with Newegg.
