Almost half the price of typical ebay sales of this very versatile lens.
R8 users should seriously consider this over RF24-105stm(woot had it for $230 recently),or RF24-105F4. It would be almost $500 more for the corner sharpness upgrade you can get from Rf24-105 F4.

Refurb directly from Canon's occasional sales sees the 24-105 STM lens (cheaper alternative to this one) at sub-$200. I've even seen it hit $130.

In reviews, for all but "pixel peeping", there's very little practical difference between the L version and the STM version. Yes, there's some SLIGHT improvement on the edges when wide open, but if you stop down to f/8, they're virtually the same lens.

In those reviews, they make it clear -- this is one of the most under-performing L-series lenses of recent time, especially when compared to its non-L counterparts. The cost difference doesn't justify the red ring.

The STM is cheaper, lighter, and smaller.

And it's Canon refurb, which is pretty much "no different than new" with a warranty. WurstBuy's "open box" is garage-sale-used quality, with something like, what, a 15 day return window?

It's wurstbuy but it is also canon authorized retailer, meaning the receipt is good for warranty as long as the lens hasn't been registered.

Except like the above mentioned, this is not one of those great lens. It's just average for a L lens. I have it as part of a kit lens, it's just ok compared to my other lens. For this price it is decent.

Most used Canon L lenses have stubbornly high prices. It's only recently that the EF prices have started to drop in the secondary market. And that 1.0 lens keeps going up.

Nice, got lucky one was available in my area and snagged it. Listed in Fair condition so hopefully it's not too dinged up.

I'm torn on this. The 24-105 is a do-it-all lens, the one you grab when you only want 1 lens, or when traveling light, or, all the time... Yeah it will perform similarly to the RF lens, but the size and weight savings, especially after you figure the adapter into it, would be worth the extra $3-400 (assuming you can get a refurb RF 24-105 f4L at the $800 deal). I think I'm going to hold out for the refurb RF deal over this. But it's super tempting, and this is a fantastic price assuming condition and warranty work out for you.

This lens is a steal even at the clearance price of $441.99 if you can find it for that. EF lenses are compatible with Canon's R mount using an adaptor. I've used this lens with an EOS R6 camera and the images were spectacular. Very sharp and excellent color saturation. Likely being phased out in favor of its RF counterpart (which is a completely different lens).

How does this compare to the DIM synced base hyperflex tube design of the old Nicon standard X FireWire flat disk cameras of last quarter?
