This is just not true, rayon is breathable, you may be thinking polyester that is advertised as "sweat wicking" but really just accumulates in my experience. Regardless of advertised claims I've found rayon to be as breathable and absorbent (then evaporate oppose to "wicking") as cotton but with a smoother feel. Rayon/tencel/modal all the bamboo semi synthetic feel like comparable to high quality cotton but without the guess work of claims of being quality cotton and weave

Rayon breathes great...

It does have its downsides. As others have mentioned, it pills quickly and isn't a super durable fabric. But it does breathe well and it's usually soft.

I need some boxer briefs for an upcoming umm.. "procedure". Normally only wear cotton boxers but I will need the extra support. Good timing on these since I likely won't wear them again. In for two sets.

You'll probably want something more supportive than boxer briefs but if you go with these try sizing down.
