I've had an AceMagic mini-PC for about a year now. Following advice given by someone here I did wipe Windows and reinstalled it. I have no major complaints, but a few minor ones were USB ports are a little erratic at times and the LED readout that was a major selling point has never worked. If you do buy an AceMagic product you can forget about Customer Service. The times I have contacted them regarding the minor issues were met with zero responses. I don't think I would buy another of their products again. I also have an Asus mini-PC that has been great with no issues to contact support.

I had an AceMagic mini PC for a bit, and while performance was decent for the price, I ended up wiping Windows right away just to be safe. USB ports were a bit hit or miss, and the front LED display never worked properly. Customer service was non-existent when I reached out. If you're tech-savvy and don't mind troubleshooting, it might be worth it, but personally, I'd probably go with an Asus or Beelink next time.
many videos on the web about AceMagic having unremovable spyware deeply embedded into its OS
That's very old info. I have 3 from this company, bought over the past year. None of them came with malware. In any case, it's always good to do a clean install of Windows (the license will be intact) - then you don't have to worry about any sort of malware or bloatware. Mine have been VERY reliable.

What if the malware is embedded on the motherboard?
These are neat little PCs, but the drivers are proprietary and not easily available. You need to know the special hosting site to download them from if you do a fresh windows install.
