Ecobee is an excellent system and great pricing for alarm monitoring. Easy to install. App is great. Customer service and tech support too. This is a good deal. Also works for door sensors AND combo pack with 2 room sensors and 2 door sensors. Code is sensorsale0225

I have a couple sensors in a 3 bedroom house. Is there any benefit of more sensors?

If you want to have the sensors average out the temp, or have certain sensors control the temp, more would be better.

For example, if during the day you want ecobee to use the average temp downstairs and during the evening use the average temp upstairs, a couple will likely not be enough.

But you could easily do without additional if your thermostat is downstairs and your existing sensors are upstairs and are really just concerned with upstairs temp.

I didn't realize Ecobee does home security now? Thinking of grabbing the door sensor combo, anyone have any experience with the kit?

Usual price is either $75 or $80, so this ain't much better. Overpriced in my opinion for what they do. I'm holding out, but I have been saying that for 2 years, so maybe I should just be thankful for the 5 dollar savings here.

My only qualm with them is their Google Home/Assistant support... it's fine, but not as good as their HomeKit or Alexa support. These sensors cannot be used for automations in Google Home, for example.

Definitely overpriced... they couldn't even include a humidity sensor in them! And i have 4 of these. But the integration is fairly simple and that's why I got them. If you have the time and want more customization, I would recommend getting hubitat and temp sensors to automate it to do the same things this does plus more.

I'm not sure if my system is older (have an Ecobee 3 that uses the older room sensor). Had a lot of problems pairing with the new smart sensor where i ended up returning a few.

Same problem. so far I've had to deal with 4 sensors that just wouldn't pair
1 that paired once and then never connected again.

Bought this last week with the $20 discount. I reached out to ecobee for a price adjustment and they helped out and adjusted without any issues.

I want to say a 2-pack was about $50 about 3 years ago, I've been looking for a similar deal since then. I haven't seen it. I think these things are overpriced af.

Unfortunately that was 3 years ago. Times have changed and prices have gone up and won't be coming back down. I bought at this price because I don't see them ever going below this again unless they come out with a "newer model". Everyone selling these on FB marketplace, etc. are selling them for $75+. Also, this price is on point with other smart thermostat remote sensors (nest, sensi, Honeywell, etc.)

I pulled the trigger as well since I don't want to miss out on the deal.
