If you're looking for a washing machine, this is a decent deal ($420 off), normally $1049.99. I am in need of one quickly, so this isn't one of those super-slick clearance deals that only a few will find. If you're in the market, it's very good for the quality. I've done the research, decided on a few models I'd buy, and wanted to pass along in case someone is in my predicament. Available in graphite steel (gray) for $60 more.

If you need it delivered, BB charges $29 for delivery. They'll install it for "free" if you purchase $34 worth of required parts (mainly the hose). Still less than any other model I found.

They also have a matching dryer for the same price here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-7...Id=6492262

Happy washing!

I was really looking for a larger capacity (4.8 cu ft and up) because I think we've been wearing out agitators with loads that are too heavy. I also tried to narrow down the brands that I was willing to look at. Speed Queen is the one that usually floats to the top in terms of logevity, but they are quite expensive ($1300+). LG and GE are the next tier, and specifically, GE Profile is their top-tier product. That's where I landed...I was bound and determined to find the best deal on one of those brands, under $700. The next level of brands that I was planning to look at is Maytag and Whirlpool, but I never got that far. Samsung was not on my list...too many complaints. One of our local appliance companies echoed that...said he gets more Samsung returns and repairs than any other brand. With that being said, here's where I landed:

GE Profile 5.4 cu ft PTW805BPWRS (might be a Lowes exclusive). This one is blue and my local Lowes had a sign for a clearance one for $396. However, it was not in stock, nor were the other two Lowes I tried. They did have the dryer, but it was still $850.

GE Profile 5.4 cu ft PTW700BSTWS This one is $900 most places, on sale at Lowes for $748. You also save $100 if you buy the matching dryer. Lowes also has about $65 in fees/parts that are required for delivery/installation. That does not include haul-away, which is another $50 each.

I looked at several other LG models ranging from 5.0 to 5.5 cu ft, but none were close to the $629 that this one is (original posting).

Hope this helps!

Can you please also share your rationale for choosing a top loader over front?

For me it was just space. I have a small laundry room and accessing it from the top is just easier.
