Too much. T Mobile raised rates after all those years advertising that they Won't raise rates. They increased arbitrary fees, such as $35 for esim activation. They even billed me $5 for a "mid cycle change" for removing a Free/inuded feature - port out protection - when I wanted to break up with them.

I was a T Mobile customer for 20+ years, and modern day T Mobile sucks - they literally suck money out of customers at every opportunity.

So I left for Visible Unlimited at 1/4 of the cost and haven't looked back.

Can you give an example?
800 off when trading in an old S10 sounds like a slick deal.

Samsung deals on their website are better than TMobile 24 month credit unless they could honor the deals on Go5G for Mag Max.
In some cases Tmobile 24 mo credit ends up better. I had an S23FE from Metro I paid $150 for that was sitting in a drawer and Tmobile gave me $500 for it while allowing me to keep my old grandfathered plan. I did the transaction through Samsung using a cashback site and got the extras they were offering but selected the Tmobile $500 trade-in credit option which is good on any plan. Samsung wasn't even offering S23FE as a trade-in option. The monthly payments also allow me to get an investment return on the money over the next two years that I would have been paying to Samsung up front.

Anyone get this promo to apply with sprint advantage plan? We were suppose to have the same promo as magenta max.
For SWAC / Advantage I believe it's only $500. The offer code is
R035

Samsung Trade ID250058

It's better than nothing. I was worried we weren't going to get any trade in value.

I don't get it. This works for Magenta Max 55+ with full trade in value, but the iPhone 16 one only gives partial credit for the Magenta Max 55+ while both promos says "for Magenta max".

Do not bite the hand that feeds you. If you are getting $800 for S25 on MM 55+, then take that and run. Take lots of screenshots with timestamps. I would skip out on Costco just so I can get screenshots of the trade-in value as proof.

T-mobile has been punishing 55+ and first responder plans with reduced trade-in values, so if you are getting the same trade-in values as regular plans without the promotion explicitly saying so, count that as a blessed mistake.

Not mad at this promo which is awesome and actually took advantage of (thanks OP!). Just wish I could also upgrade my iPhone 14 Pro Max which I refuse to trade in for "only" $630.

Debated about this after getting $500 for my wife's iPhone 12 towards a 16.
OP's deal gets me $250 for Pixel 6a on Military 1.0 plan towards Galaxy S25/25+
Google giving $150 trade in towards Pixel 9 Pro which is currently $799...minus 10% off codes that are available via SD posts.
Comes out to about $591 total for unlocked 9 Pro...going to go with the Google sale

Gonna take a lot for me to swap my Note 20 Ultra out.

It's way ahead of its time and looks/works great.

Not willing to let go of the expandable storage...

Expandable storage is amazing. I would hold on to that Note too.

Had I known that they would eventually do this for Samsung and iphone, I would have not switched from MM to Go5g Plus over a year ago. That is great for MM people though. This does mean I will never go higher than Go5g plus and hope they will always eventually have some free phone offers down the line.

T-Mobile is waiving the $35 for online orders today. Costco always waves it. But I find it too annoying to order via phone. And the Costco cards rarely show up. I have all kinds of trouble chasing those.
They should waive it permanently. It's a BS charge for something that was included with new line activation in the past, and is still free/included with other carriers.

Ok, if you don't follow all the deals, then this is for you. Just go thru all the Samsung deals on SD for the last 2 years and compare that to Go5G/Magenta Max of Tmobile. TMobile trades are no more how it used to be once upon a time. They had upto to 1000, now it is 800 only.
The last Sammy deal was over the holidays. It was any functional smart phone for $350 off. You still had to pay, at the very least, $99 for a base S21.

This deal is "free". TMUS makes us pay sales tax, then locks us in for 24 months.

I'm actually using the S21/S22s I got over the holidays, still unopened, for this deal. So, I paid ~$110 / $200 for a base S25, no tax for Oregon.

eBay S10e goes for ~$140 for used:excellent condition.

love my s20 with 512gb micro sd. sad to trade it in but software support is ending this year. but $800 for s25 is practically free. I'll probably just pay a bit more for the 256gb storage
Yeah, only $60 for 256 GB version. I made mistakes going with the 128 GB ones..
