if you don't need to make huge amounts of slushies, try out zoku cups first. that said, I've been making slushes for years and I'm obsessed. you can slush anything with sugar. I'm talking slushie sprite, apple juice, capri sun, pog, you name it but the absolute best is baja blast. ya ain't lived til you've had baja blast slush (which you can actually order at Taco Bell but it's watered down and the crystals are not as fine).
It's exciting at first then I got tired of drinking slushy and now it just a sore eye taking up a kitchen space. I suggest just getting it at a gas station. If it's $3 at the gas station, just imagine you'll have to order 100 times to break even at $300 not including the time spent washing and adding ingredients. It's just my two cents after getting chewed out by my wife.
This tops the list of things that I want but I don't need.

Just wanna comment that this works really, really well. Even though it recommends using cold drinks to make slushy, we always end up using room temperature drinks and it still makes slushy like a champ every time.

MSRP was $300 at Christmas. Did these really jump $50 in the last two months?

Do you just pour your drink recipe and it makes it into a slush? Is it that easy?

Why not just use a blender with ice and the flavors?

Blended ice drink =/= slushie

This seems like one of the most impractical small appliances I could get, but still feel like I need it for some reason LOL.

I've used mine a few times and it works well. Have only tried regular coke and lemonades. Minimum fill on this model is 16oz and maximum fill is 64oz fwiw
