These are definitely light duty only. If you could already remove the snap ring with a couple of picks, these should be fine. I tried these on a snap ring on the end of a barbell, and the snap ring won. It didn't break the tool, but the heads had too much flex to fully close the snap ring for removal.

Interchangeable heads are constantly falling off or don't open wide enough. I hate this thing.
