Seems like a pretty decent option, especially if you are local to OR. Given that I'd be flying separately to the west coast from Denver, I'm still partial to the earlier Los Angeles to Osaka deal given that those flights were JAL nonstop with no additional connections to worry about (and the flight was late enough in the day that I could realistically fly to LAX same day/avoid needing to book a hotel), but I'm certain this deal will find some takers. Btw, appreciate the work you do, serra, you were directly responsible for my first Japan visit half a decade ago.

Looks like not much more to fly out of MFR also. Similar date ranges I found as low as $579. More segments on some, but if you're in the southern part of the state sometimes it's nicer to add a leg and avoid the drive.

ETA: Looks about the same if you're closer to EUG or RDM. tons of dates under $600

There is still a good amount to do and the prices are better. I went to both cities last week and the second hand shops were cheaper in Osaka. That might change because of the expo though.
