Today I went to Big Lots and the entire store was clearanced to 95% off. I paid $8.88 for 27 dvd and bluray videos. A nice haul. The store I went to is in DFW Texas area. It may vary. They are just ready to get rid f everything at this point!

Large specialty B&Ms have been steadily shutting down over the past two decades as the model has been outcompeted by internet sales.
Before the internet people would drive 20-40 miles to these stores because they offered a wide, well-stocked selection. Now people can access an even wider selection without leaving their homes.

Yeah Big lots used to be one of my favorite stores. Still is, my local Big lots is 40 miles away and I can't get there as often now.
