Pretty good deal, saving about $100 overall getting the combo right now, cause the ram is between $80-100 normal price and the mobo when its not on sale is about $290. Gigabyte boards are usually very reliable and premium and this is one of the top of the line lines ups for them.

I recently bought this board when Amazon's price dropped and price matched it at Microcenter. Great board, looks even better, and this is a great deal, although CL30/6000 should be the ideal choice for AM5 CPUs

Just a heads up, the memory (Model PVVR532G600C36K) isn't on the compatibility list (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherbo...ort-memsup). Will probably work fine, but I've made the mistake of not checking memory compatibility for a Gigabyte board. Memory worked fine, but the Gigabyte RGB software didn't like it.

Tempting, I will sleep on it. I have been an Intel fan for a long time but this is intriguing.

That's what they get for price gouging. I won't be surprised if the same thing happens to Nvidia soon if there is slightly better-performing competition.

Will this work in as a Proxmox server? I had this impression that Proxmox likes Intel only.

This is a nice mobo but its a bad combo in my opinion. This ram isn't good its functional but a waste of the board. This board can likely handle gskill's new cl26/28 6000, at the bare minimum you should run cl30 6000 in this. If you are willing to cut performnce corners get one of the many b650m board deals out there, they can still run cl30 6000, but at least you're not going to look silly putting slower budget ram in it.

the only nutty thing about this deal and many like it, is that many (perhaps most) people who want a white build, especially those paying more for a while build, want white casing on the memory.

For anyone looking to buy this board which has been great, make sure to follow the bios flashing steps BEFORE installing any cpu or ram components. Chuckbuilds has a helpful YouTube video to avoid any issues with getting the board working.

He makes a good point. General Enthusiast Consensus is CL30 6000 is the "sweet spot" for AM5 in regards to performance/stability, so bear it in mind.

I'm not sure I'd choose X870 over X670E tho - nearly identical chipsets but the latter typically less expensive (even including some USB4 variants). If you're serious about a build, consider taking a breath and doing a little digging before pulling the trigger on this one.

Also: NEVER Newegg for mobos. It's my personal policy, but If you know, you know.
