What happened to all the shoe companies? I remember when Brooks used to make solid shoes every company, whether it's Brooks or Saucony or Asics now takes a $2 mesh sock glues it to a slab of foam and calls it a running shoe. There's no more leather or anything that makes the shoe really a shoe rather than just a mesh sock glued to. I said earlier a slab of foam. This shoe probably takes $3.50 to make and they're foisting It off as over $100. I have six or 7-year-old Brooks adrenaline models that were literally shoes, not just a piece of mesh...does HOKA Make real shoes anymore or are they gone South as well? I have not bought New balance in a while but the last three sets of shoes I bought all have been conversions of just a mesh material glued as I said to a foam last.
What a rip-off!

It's due to Prop 65 restrictions. Academy has no stores in CA and rather than jump through all the hoops related to it they bow out of CA completely.
