Regardless, seems like a great price I shouldn't have hesitated on the last time it was posted a week ago.

Although, I suppose that you could just buy a decent extension cord or power strip and have the best of both worlds. Is that what a lot of people do?
Both of these can fit in a bag or my pocket.
I'm a fan of the other type, but I understand these as well.

There are places like Afghanistan and North Korea where phones aren't accessible, but this is largely a political or social motivation.
You see fires in the second/third world much more from electricity being jerry rigged with people plugging strip into strip into strip.
The real answer to the original question, is cost. Corded high wattage bricks cost much more to ship and warehouse.

Plus every location I'd charge my phone has a plug next to it or a power strip. Both my work and home desk had 120v outlets ran to the desktop. (Clamp on power strips -some even have outdated USB plugs)
I do have one that's on a cord that runs to the outlet behind the couch (so the couch can sit flush to wall). It lives under the sofa with 2 USBC cables that get tucked under the couch for laptop/phone
