Their prices on almost anything regularly beat out other retailers for the same brand/model. Amazon provides competition, but even Amazon outside of a sales promo can often get beat by Costco. They also have their Kirkland brand, which many of those products are higher quality than even name brand products. Sure, Ican buy Scott's crappy toilet paper from Walgreens or Dollar General cheaper, but I'm also getting a really lousy product. And with DG, a really terrible customer experience.

The only time you might be spending too much money are on premium brands and imports, where the other supermarkets are unlikely to sell a comparable product. That I can see as a valid argument, but also many people, including myself, don't mind spending a bit more for quality organics, imported Asian/European products, or fresh kitchen and bakery products that taste way better than the crap you'd find at Wal-Mart.
I used to work for Costco so I just want to give a bit of my input here .
First all off all these discounts are manufacturer rebates .( Costco only mark down clearance items ). 99% items at Costco have mark up averaging 13% 10-15% mostly except for greenmade products.
The prices you see are manufacturer cost*1.13, so if you see price increased it's due to manufacturer cost , not Costco increasing their % profit margin.
PS: I got fired at Costco
FWIW, using the price match after purchase at non-sale prices has been good to me. For example, I needed Cascade. I ordered it last week. On 3/5 it will be on sale for $3 off. I'll apply for price match online and get it. Viva Costco!

at this point, you're just losing money if you buy when there isnt a so called "sale"
and sale prices are really just regular prices, but you're punished if you buy it outside the 'sale' period

Can anyone comment on the chef man air fryer? Looking to replace the $40 gourmia because the grate seems impossible to keep clean

I think the only thing I can get for a better price or quality at my Kroger or Safeway is organic orange juice and bananas, and sometimes Tillamook cheese (but probably only because the factory is only an hour away).

Any grill / cooker items would be easier to clean when you heat it up to a very high temp after cooking to dry out all the stuff that are stuck on it, then they will be able to scrap it right out.

TU, appreciate you posting, but that site sure is frustrating to use on the phone. Anyone else try to zoom in and repeatedly get some snitch article popup…

I think I'll wait for another source.

So far two of the items I've looked at to post in new threads are more than their Black Friday prices...Did see the Bose earbuds on sale for $220 w/ $50 GC that seems okay.
