This depends on the manufacturer. I bought a vizio tv that had many issues. Vizio refused to warranty it at all because it was open box.

This is somewhat archaic thinking based on when OLEDs were first released. Watch some modern OLED torture tests to see how things have changed, burn in does exist in the tests, but they are worst case scenarios. Real world usage should not be a problem anymore.

But don't get me wrong, more hours on a floor display is definitely not a plus Stick Out Tongue

Exactly. On the item description of "excellent condition" open box items, Best Buy states that it is possible for the item to have been a "floor model". But I'd say the majority of the time, open box is just someone who has second thoughts within a week or two of using the product.

The only one by me is at an outlet in "good" condition. The outlets are so hit or miss. They don't allow you to inspect and there are no returns. You could open the box and find a shattered screen and they say tough luck. Could be missing the stand, remote, power cord etc and they don't tell you.
