text and browsing is fine but issue is every couple days it needs some pixel cleaning for five minutes so if you are running late and expecting to login in asap then have two monitors!Big Grin
Thanks for the info. Thats a bit of a bummer. Might rethink and go ultrawide.

Just remember that many Best Buy used tv's are display models that are on for many hours a day and show the same display video non stop. This can cause burn in or a kind of ghosting. I used to appreciate a good display deal on a best buy tv, but with OLED's, used TV's are not necessarily a good deal.in general OLED tv's are consumable products that need to be replaced every few years, so a used display may or may not work depending on how long you expect the TV to last. I like keep my TV's a long time if they don't break so OLED's are off the list.
This is somewhat archaic thinking based on when OLEDs were first released. Anti burn in technologies and refresh software that runs when you turn off the TV have came a long way so as to make this a thing of the past. Watch some modern OLED torture tests to see how things have changed, burn in does exist in the tests, but they are worst case scenarios. Real world usage should not be a problem anymore.

But don't get me wrong, more hours on a floor display is definitely not a plus Stick Out Tongue

That's good to hear with regard to new TV's I still wouldn't want to buy a Best Buy demo TV as an open box even if new OLED's might hav3 a way to reset the burn in images. You're taking too big a chance.

Also, I have an LG B4 and although you can see how many hours the display has been "on" it unfortunately can be reset to "0" with a simple reset. Not sure if Samsung shows that information

NYC...same as Hawaii & Alaska. Sale prices never apply and there's a hefty delivery price.

Not all open boxes are display models but bestbuy does sell display models as open boxes.
Exactly. On the item description of "excellent condition" open box items, Best Buy states that it is possible for the item to have been a "floor model". But I'd say the majority of the time, open box is just someone who has second thoughts within a week or two of using the product.

Got all 3 in Denver this AM. Sorry but I have a need.
How are the conditions of the three TVs? I recently got burned by Bestbuy open boxes on 3 straight occasions. I was wondering if Bestbuy does worse job on inspecting items nowadays than they did in the past.

The only one by me is at an outlet in "good" condition. The outlets are so hit or miss. They don't allow you to inspect and there are no returns. You could open the box and find a shattered screen and they say tough luck. Could be missing the stand, remote, power cord etc and they don't tell you.
