Lowes [lowes.com] has 1.5-cu ft Scotts Nature Scapes Color Enhanced Blend Mulch (Classic Black, Deep Forest Brown, Sierra Red) on sale for $2.50 ($1.67 per sq ft). Select free store pickup where available, otherwise shipping is free on orders $35+ for MyLowe's Rewards Members (free to join [lowes.com]).

Home Depot [homedepot.com] also has a similar product 1.5-cu ft Scotts Earthgro Shredded Wood Mulch (Black, Brown, Red) for $2.50 ($1.67 per sq ft). Select free store pickup where available.

Note: The Home Depot may be YMMV. When I put this in my cart for pickup it showed $2.50. When I switched it to Delivery it changed price to $3.97 and added a delivery charge.

QA Note: Both Lowe's and Home Depot prices will vary by store or location. If you see a higher price, try another store if you can.

Odd - Don't see that pricing for either in my area. I drove by home depot yesterday and saw a silly amount of a pallets of this stuff so it must be coming, just not yet.

For those not seeing the in-store price at Lowe's, is it showing for delivery?

Doesn't the cost come down to $2 a bag? I thought that is what I paid last year.

Betting the reason why most people don't see the pricing is because you live way down south someplace. Lowe's an HD starts their spring deals earlies in TX,FL, CA, etc way earlier than the norther states were it is still cold as hell right now

Agree with Pga. This is a seasonal sale and is held at different times in the spring depending on your growing region. I am in the mid-Atlantic and the mulch sales are not until the end of March.

where in VA? I'm in Fairfax and don't see any of the earthgro ones at HD for half price.

Looking at my purchase history and I bought it last year near mid/end of April for half price.

Does anyone know if the mulch has returned to "normal" in CA? (SoCal specifically)
From mid-pandemic until last year here in CA the mulch had been really moldy, had nails, and many bugs per online reviews and a few unlucky neighbors. This was mulch from both HD and Lowes, so we avoided it. Now we really need it and I am hoping you guys can tell me if it's finally good again! Thank you!
(We used to mainly get the brown $2 bags from HD but I will use any good mulch at this point...)
