Fast charging does not require USB 3. You can charge devices at up to 240watts regardless of the data speed. You just need a charger and device that can handle the faster charge rate.

Charging capacity is actually the simplest part of the Type-C spec, and should not be conflated with data speed.

Every single type of C2C cable must support 60W of power delivery to be compliant with the spec, regardless of the data speeds it supports.

Above that, first with the 100W spec, and now with the current 240W EPR spec, requires e-marker chips embedded in the cable to signal to devices they support high power delivery.

That's it. Nothing to do with data speeds.

Cheap cables may not be capable of their claimed rated capacity, but that's because they're non-compliant, not because of the spec.

I just checked my LISEN 100W USB-C cable I bought in last week's SD on here, great product, very good build quality and it's charging my Samsung Fold at Super Fast Charging. I'm gonna get some of these 250W too.

I've bought a few Lisen 240w cables. I don't know if they are doing the full 240w, but they are at least doing enough to charge my laptops while I use them, so they serve their purpose. They also support super fast charging on my phone.

I have a few LISEN wireless chargers, iPad arm, and some USB—C cables. The build quality is a lot like that brand Aukey that was around a few years ago. Build quality is pretty good, their stuff seems to last.

I'll always Stan for this brand. I buy them every time they go this cheap just to have spares. I regularly charge @ 140w PD no issues, same with PPS @ 45W. Have yet to have one fail. In for more!
