Once it arrives, you can verify on the Apple website to check for warranty coverage. If something's wrong, return it. They have 60 day returns on them. Plus with eBay coverage, and if you pay with Paypal and a card that offers return protection, you're literally protected 3x.

Speaking of which, the same seller has the 1TB version for $1774 which is about $400 less if you don't need 4TB.

1TB vs 4TB. There's more to it than just the cores.

Just be careful about 3rd part seller. Apple could refuse to provide warranty when you send in. It happened to me for a new iphone purchased from 3rd party. Died within warranty, Apple refuse to repair. Reason: phone has been modified.

After doing a bit of research on M4 Pro vs M3 Pro seems like there is a pretty decent set of features and improvements in the M4 Pro if you need them - which it sounds like most non professionals prob wouldn't if we're being honest. For the majority of people maybe the brighter 1000 nit SDR vs 600 might be the biggest thing we would notice along with RAM.

To me the real value in this deal is in the hard drive upgrade to 4 TB, which is usually $1k upgrade over a 1 TB SSD, plus the memory upgrade (36 gb vs 24 now standard in the M4).

If you need additional processing power, brighter screen, or the new antiglare stuff prob worth it to just get the M4 Pro. That's at least what I'm taking out of this.

I bought it yesterday as a mostly casual user with occasional photoshop/Lightroom and current filled to capacity 1 TB 2016 MacBook Pro POS. Damn that thing sucks.
