Awesome deal, Im still running my Alienware Aurora R7 with liquid cooling from like 2018. Upgraded from a GTX1080 to a RTX3070. Not a single issue with this PC. I run it for about 8+ hours a day and often max out the CPU and GPU from gaming yet ive never had an issue with overheating even when my office was 90+ degrees

Could someone speak to a realistic comparison for video editing performance? I had been waiting for the Aurora R16 deal to come back around (14900KF and 4090 graphics) but I may have to wait longer than I want (if it ever comes back in that variant). I'm looking at this new one with the highest option Core Ultra 9 with 24 cores 3.7-5.7GHz processor, liquid cooled processor. Does Adobe Premiere even support the 5080 yet?

What do the experts think? Much thanks in advance.
Your workflow is going to dictate where your best investment would be.

In most cases, you're going to want to leverage QuickSync for rendering tasks, so a better graphics card isn't going to necessarily speed up your output. However, this particular system doesn't have an integrated GPU.

If you're also using After Effects or possibly even Blender, that's where you'll leverage the GPU more.

Also, if you already have a top of the line system from a couple years back, the incremental improvements in performance are way more subtle. In which case, distributed computing might be a better move. That way, you're not tying up your workstation during renders.

Amex premium Business Cash Card has 13% off. If somebody can combine with 10% off, this is killer deal.
10% off, 13% Amex, 12% CB, 6% in Dell Rewards points = pretty slick Smilie.

Slick if you can stack a second discount on it as gabrielh pointed out above. Fingers crossed they keep this level of discount available all year long.

So we should wait and have to buy another PC next year because we only planned for this year... Sounds shortsighted to me.
Yes, for a cheaper price

That's not even remotely true if you play at high FPS on 4k or 2k. If it's needed obviously isn't the same, but most games other than esports games take advantage of it.

I would say go for 40 series deals but there really aren't any. Just helped someone buy a 4070 rig and those are still $1300 and up (one with an I7). The new Intel chips sucking and the new 50 series being a minor step up (performance not performance per dollar) over the 40 series is really hurting the market right now.

We just had a 4070 pc for 900 last week and what was the point of you bringing up 2k? No one should buy this 4k/8k card to play at 2k. The point is 50 series is not worth it at this price.

I think you mean CPU, it liquid cooled cpu and air cooled cpu. They didn't mention anything about PSU. On CPU if you are getting base and cheapest, probably won't overclock. I think you will be fine with air cooled. I personally would go with air. Unless you think you will running it heavy cpu loads, etc.

I did know that the Premiere editing workflow is mostly CPU intensive but didn't want to make the description of my scenario too lengthy. I probably should have said Adobe video editing suite because I do use After Effects a fair amount, and it kills me how long some output renderings take.

I have a pretty powerful PC laptop from a few years back but I'm ready to anchor down with a desktop again for editing. The thermal throttling just isn't worth the portability tradeoff. I didn't know about QuickSync so that's useful to know. It's just a bummer that this system doesn't have integrated graphics to facilitate it because I'm 99% sure I'm going to pull the trigger on this build. Beyond video editing I have plenty of other use cases for a powerful GPU so I know it'll get used. I just hope the new CPUs and GPUs gets supported fully soon. When I checked it seemed like the 5080 would not be fully supported by Adobe for a little while. Thanks.
