I hadn't been to a Chick-fil-A in about 10 years, but the lines can sometimes be astronomical, like as bad as in-n-out, or a new dutch bros here in Southern California. I recently went, and, while I understand everyone has different tastes I cannot understand the ferocity of the lines. Like this was just mediocre chicken. When the Popeye's chicken sandwich blew up, I went and got it a few times. The bread was soft and steamy, pickles good, chicken had good moisture and flavor, and spicy version had a modicum of spice to it. Chick-fil-A was edible, nothing to write home about, kinda bland actually, but still it wasn't bad, just not particularly good either. The lines are crazy in comparison to the flavor, again my opinion. Did I go on a bad day, or to a bad location, or is the food just meh, but the hype is big? Just curious.

I like the waffle fries. I love the sauce. Here in SoCal we regularly get a free sandwich from sports team affiliations so these deals help me get discounted fries with my free sandwich and I'm fine with a mediocre meal for $2.50 instead of $10.

It's quality chicken that's not trying to be do too much at fast food prices, that's what makes it special. McDonald's, Popeye's etc you don't know if you're going to pay $5 or $15 and the consistency is very hit and miss. Chick Fil A you can get a good meal for $5~$10, quality product, and not feel like the staff hates you for walking in.

You cannot get a good meal for $5.... Try 10-15. I mean maybe if your meal consistent of just a kale crunch salad.

Everything else you said is why I go though. You do not have to deal with coupons for a "normal" price. They are one of the very few fast food that are that way. It is also consistent. Also a huge win for me is a healthy kid meal. I can get grilled nuggets for the kiddos.

The last one I got couple days back had $0. Have raised a request and they say it will take around 5 days investigate. This was after 2 days of creating a ticket.
Poor merchant and SD promoting this is not good.
