No direct deposit games - nice. Finally, a bank that doesn't care where the money comes from.
The risk here is that you have to keep $5k in for 60-90 days to get the 4.3%, but CIT can lower the rate in that timeframe. However, CIT has historically had good rates on this account for quite a while - not at the very top of what is available, but certainly within shooting distance of the top. I would expect them to remain competitive.

I'm sure you can, especially if you're not a joint owner on her account.
Always spend less than you make. Save 15%+ of your earnings from the beginning so you don't miss it. Get more education if it means a more fulfilling job with greater pay. Earn like a professional, live like a college student. Don't buy crap just b/c it's on Slickdeals.

Thanks. I am over the 60 days as I put in the day the promo went live. Crickets here. Initially said I was signed up and showed on homepage. Now nothing in the offer section and no bonus added. Did you receive an email or anything saying you were getting the bonus?

I never said get rich. Having a partner that helps bring more money into the household makes things easier (financially). Whether it's 30k or 100k, everything helps. I digress, we're well off topic now.
