Steam forums has some notes on it. I may not be exactly what I said but it is a bit of a hassle of some processors. It took me a bit to get it resolved. Wish I could find a way to limit it at the start with only x amount of cores.

Is this really useful for learning the guitar? Its been around a long while, so I have to assume there is something to it.
If I buy this and find the required cable, can I play anything other that what is provided? Someone mentioned custom songs? That doesn't get blocked by the software or anything?

A 1/4" to 3.5mm guitar cable will work out of the box.
In fact, it's actually the ideal method because virtually every USB audio adapter adds latency.
