It's a little bit of a deal but you're spending a TON to save a little. The charger is $300, the blower $500, leaving you spending $500 on 4 batteries.
You end up with $125 for a 12Ah battery that's been available for $138 for all of November through January and probably will again.
All in all you are saving $50 but spending $1300 to do it.

Your point is what, that the batteries work out to $10/AH, which is the lowest they ever go, and usually only for the previous generation batteries (these are the marginally better forge)?
If you need everything this is an awesome deal. I think your comment is best summarized as "$1300 is still alot of money", which, true.

My point is there's no discount on the blower or the charger and that's $800 of this "deal". The discount on the batteries is in line with previous sale prices.
So you are spending $1300 to get 4 discount batteries.
You and I have very different definitions of an "awesome" deal.

their 18V system is just not enough for lawn equipment, you can get an dual ego system with 2 56v batteries for half the price
Watts are watts, voltage doesn't mean much. The ego backpack blower takes 1 battery at a time and comes with a 7.5AH, 7.5*56 = 420watts. This one takes 2x 12AH @ 18v. Really the 18v batteries return 20v nominal, but for arguments sake, the Milwaukee is using (12 + 12) * 18 = 432 watts. So they are about the same. For the most part one electric motor to the next of similar design and similar wattage is going to produce the same mechanical output. Slightly higher advertised CFM on the ego, but there's also no standards for how to measure cfm for garden tools.
Based on physics and whatnot I'd expect them to perform about the same.
I know the other guy doesn't agree with me but if you have a bunch of red stuff already and have other uses for the batteries I think this is a good deal. I have a few of their high output tools and do alot of construction.
If you don't have alot of red tools already just get the ego or greenworks.

Yes, but this M18 FUEL™ Dual Battery Backpack Blower has exclusive trademarked features that include a POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor and REDLINKPLUS™ Intelligence, not to mention four M18™ REDLITHIUM™ FORGE™ HD12.0 batteries!
That EGO 56V Backpack Blower has far fewer exclusive trademarked Features™

The Ego takes 2 at a time, and with the ego you have the option to go up to a dual 12AH config using 1,344 watts on normal or even more watts in turbo mode. The motor is rated for max 1900 watts.
Runtime is also a huge issue with the 18v Milwaukee. using 4 very expensive 12ah batteries will only give you 20 mins of run time. That's so low, 5 minutes a battery. It's not practical for anyone using this commercially. Maybe for a weekend warrior that likes a lot of toys and only uses the blower a few times a year. I used to use 20V dewalt yard equipment on my farm. It was practically useless, just not enough juice to get work done, batteries would never last. Even when I upgraded to the 60v flexvolts, I still needed to buy 4 batteries and have one on the charger at all times
I'll stick with my RedMax thanks. I don't think the battery for these types of devices really pays off, maybe someday, when the technology gets better.
