But I'll dig deeper. Just saying "it's a classic" isn't really a well formed opinion. Why is it a classic? What makes it that? The acting? The story? Because I honestly just ended the movie thinking "that was so basic and simple. No character development (ie no journey of discovery that the main character went through).
An American in Paris was fine.. I love Gene Kelly but Leslie Caron not so much (as an actress).
Casblanca in my opinion is extremely overrated. Humphrey Bogart is just a bad actor, made famous in a time when there was obviously 1/1,000,000th the competition for movie roles as there is today.
Ben Hur - never seen but own it! I really need to watch it

Gone with the Wind (1939) was selected as the greatest film of the past half-century in a 1950 poll conducted by Variety of more than 200 professionals who worked in the film industry for over 25 years.[15]

I added T2 in 4K to my Vudu years ago. It is gone now. They are disingenuous in making us believe we can play these movies we have a license to... They should just only allow us to rent, since we cannot own.
This is the result of a California law that forces store fronts to be more transparent about it. [theverge.com]
